Breanna sat up during PT in PICU for 2 minutes assisted.  The goal for her to go home is to be
able to comfortably sit in her wheelchair for 30 minutes.  WE struggled with two minutes today
with lots of tears and tissue.  My little peanut is not happy. We may be here until next
Wednesday.

Thursday, June 10 cont. Breanna is now on the 6th floor at Mary Bridge, room 674.  She moved
down at 4 p.m.  They took out her Art Line (Artery Line) at 3:30, with her last blood draw
showing a 24.3 count, down from the 25.5 count.  So, it went lower, and I don't understand
really why they took that out, but the drain she has in her back is slowing down.  She is still in
pain.  We just turned her over at 8:30 with the nurse and her pain level was at 8.  Within about
5 minutes of pushing the pain medicine button (I want one too!) she was at a 6.  Her temperature
is 100.8 and at 8:50 we gave her more antibiotics via her IV.  That will take about 40 minutes to
complete.  I just snuck down here, okay, now it is down the hall, not downstairs, to update
everyone, sorry it took so long.  Breanna is more alert and talking somewhat and she wants me
there by her side more.  I will be spending the night tonight and until she leaves.  Sore neck time.

At 1:00 she ate half a popsicle, and at 7:00 she ate a whole one.  She's been eating ice chips all
day.  Amanda and Emily went home with Grandma Joanne.  They got to go out to dinner with
Grandpa Dan too at Sheri's restaurant in Gig Harbor.

Ready for the name game?  Let's play the name game....bob...what do we have today in common.....

Well, Breanna's new nurse in room 674 is named Vanessa.  WAIT, don't give up.  She is 5 months
pregnant.  About 1/2 hour after she started Breanna's new IV monitor/respitory monitor/etc
with Breanna's other new nurse, Thomas, (MY DAD AND BROTHERS NAME) she came into our
room and asked if we went to Parkland Lutheran Church.  I said yes, and so does she.  Pastor
Obenberger told her Breanna was coming down and she wondered if she would get Breanna, and
bam! she did!  Anyways, while Pat and I took a break so the grandparents could visit, we came
back and they asked Vanessa some questions about her name or something, and her middle name
is Leilani.  Oh my gosh.  Jessica Leilani, the little angel who named the bear Emily.  She is the
daughter of James' over in Oahu and James is Pat's cousin. (Pat is my honey)

Wait there's one more.  Vanessa came in and said upstairs was short handed so another nurse
was coming down for Breanna.  Her name......???  CHERIE'!  Folks, this is getting weird.  That is
my cousins name.  She is 1 month 17 days older than me.  My mom and her mom (Auntie Jan) (My
mom is Joan) are sisters.  The only two on my mom's side.  Yup!  Wow, this is creepy almost.

I need to go back.  Pat is with Breanna and I am getting the eebie's sitting here super tired.
Breanna can now have visitors, but don't expect too much out of her.  She had major spinal fusion
in every vertebre from about 2 inches from the neck.  I have said that before, but I wasn't
aware of the severity in this procedure.  I will write out what Dr. Rajacich explained and
tomorrow I will try to get over and type it up.  She has had 3-4 blood transfusions.  I am seeing
some color in her nose now.  Not much.  We can't believe how straight her body is.  TEAR!  She is
ready to go buy a swimsuit.  Too cute.

I am pooped. Continue on with prayer folks, what a feeling.  God's will must be for Breanna to
get well.  It is just taking longer than we thought.  Her spinal drain should of been removed by
now, and we had to send out more labs on her blood count.  Pray it gets above 30.  Thanks.

Hi all, this is Amanda, Breanna's sister.  Right now my mom is up in the room with her.  Well, I
guess last night she didn't get too much sleep.  Her blood count is 24, so they need another
transfusion.  They drew blood from her foot to check for infection, and I'm pretty sure it came
back negative, so that's good.  Her fever broke, right now it's back down to normal, which for
her is about 97 or 96 degrees.

Emily and I were in the cafeteria and we saw a guy with a huge, beautiful brown and black dog,
with puppy dog eyes (the dog, not the man silly!).  We couldn't resist.  We went up to him and
asked him to go to Breanna's room, so he did about half an hour later.

While he was up there, Breanna started to projectile vomit.  She was given a pain pill without any
food in her stomach.

I forgot to say that she had some chicken noodle soup broth!  That's a big improvment.  Like I
was saying, she threw up quite a bit.  I felt horrible.  The man with the dog really made her day,
and my Grandma's, and my moms, and mine, and pretty much everyone in the room!  The dog's
name was Pillswerth.  Haha.  Okay, well, I'm going to go check on Breanna.  I don't even know if
this is the right page, but hopefully you found it.

When you sign the guestbook, I realized that my mom didn't put a name section there, so I
added it.  Keep it short too, for some reason it cuts off stuff.  See ya! 11:28 PM friday, june

It is almost 1:00 p.m. and I am uploading some pictures of Breanna.  They are from my
camera phone, so if they are fuzzy, please understand.  I will come back and update
since Amanda helped me out and added on.  Take Care.
