On March 27 the cast of Generation X visited Auburn Middle School and Chinook Elementary School. The
personal stories, singing and dancing really impressed these young people, a total of 1100 students
combined in one day. The cast of Generation X and Shari Rush-Furnstahl, Director, want to thank the Auburn
School District and both school's administrators for inviting this gifted teen group to their schools.
There are moments when you can hear a pin drop, followed by music that sets the audience clapping and
cheering. The singing is inspirational, consisting of a beautiful solo and thumping current "hip" tunes. It is
truly awe inspiring to see this young group reach out and touch students in such an effective way.

The cast members set up the curtains and stage area they'll use during their
performance this morning at Auburn Middle School. Right now the dancers
are warming up and the school's about to dismiss the students to the gym
for the assembly to begin.
When the assembly is completed, the cast members tear down the stage,
load it up, and head to the next school to where the process begins again.
The team work is fantastic, every one chips in.
The cast members are waiting back stage here at Chinook Elementary
School. The kids in kindergarten through grade 5 will enter their gym soon.
The gym is smaller than at Auburn Middle School, so the curtains and stage
didn't take as long to set up. The performers had a little less room to dance,
but that made no difference in the quality of the assembly.
Still waiting...these guys are good! They're fast and efficient at what they do. :)

AND HERE WE GO....Chinook's Elementary Principal is introducing Shari and
the Generation X Cast that will be performing for these younger students.
Shari's contagious smile is effortless as she makes her way to the
microphone. She's a dedicated soul.
AND CUT! The elementary school students
have been dismissed and head back to
class. A photo opportunity...just in time
before the crew broke down the stage.
What we aren't seeing here is the
technical music set up at the back of the
gym. The sound system is amazing.
