Breanna Regan
May 14, 2006
Miss Washington
Jr. Teen America 2006

On Thursday, Breanna woke up with a 104 fever, by Friday she felt a little better as we headed to the Holiday Inn in
Renton, WA for the weekends events of the Washington State Pageant Finals. As I drove her to the Carco theater on
Saturday morning for rehearsals, she didn't make it out of the van and threw up in the parking lot. So, Saturday morning
she and I spent 1 hour at Valley Medical Hospital and another 2 hours at a smaller Urgent Care in Renton. She was
diagnosed with a bladder infection and was started on antibiotics immediately. It was 1:30 PM and at 2:00 was the group
photograph. We made it back in time to the hotel, changed her in to a pant suit and made it just in time. Breanna
maintained a 100.4 - 101 fever all weekend...even up through the finals. But, she NEVER gave up....

Miss Tacoma Jr. Teen America 2006, Breanna Regan, was officially crowned tonight Miss Washington
State Jr. Teen America 2006. Not only did she win the State Title, she won the Ambassador title as well.

The girls were all brought back on stage and as they read 4th runner up, 3rd runner up, and 2nd runner up,
Breanna still had no clue she would be crowned Miss Washington State within a few seconds.
"And your
new 2006 Miss Washington State Jr. Teen America is....Breanna Regan of Tacoma."
She cried when she
won the Ambassador of Washington Title, but on this one, she was trying to not cry because the reigning 2005
title holders were telling her, "don't cry, don't cry," so she teared up again and received a screaming/cheering
standing ovation from the crowd. Amanda, her 16 year old sister, was in the audience and cried uncontrollably.
I was backstage and jumped up from my chair, and said, "No way!"
